UEPA held an online training “Internationalization of Science for Sustainable Development of Higher Education” within the THEA Ukraine X project

 

On June 10 and 19, 2024, the Ukrainian Engineering Pedagogics Academy held a two-day online training “Internationalization of Science for Sustainable Development of Higher Education” as part of the THEA Ukraine X project (funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD)).

At the opening of the training, welcoming speeches were made by:

- Maryna VASYLIEVA, Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Work of the Ukrainian Engineering Pedagogics Academy;

- Sonja MIKESKA, Quality Management and International Cooperation, THEA manager, University of Applied Sciences Münster, Germany;

- Larysa KALACHEVSKA, Sumy National Agrarian University, Ukraine, THEA Ukraine X trainer;

- Anna FOMENKO, Hochschule Wismar, Germany;

- Oksana MELNYK, University of Konstanz, Germany;

- Hanna Hrinchenko, organizer and coordinator of the training, Ukrainian Engineering Pedagogics Academy.

The training addressed the following issues:

- International scientific communities: how to become a part of them (Speaker: Oksana Melnyk).

- International scientific publications, international scientific events (conferences, forums). How to distinguish a real publication from plagiarism? (Speaker: Hanna Hrinchenko).

- How to prepare a high-quality academic CV in accordance with international and European requirements? (Speaker: Hanna Hrinchenko).

- Search for individual international grant opportunities (Speaker: Larysa Kalachevska).

- Internationalization of science.

Planning a research project and finding a topic. How to find a research partner abroad (Speaker: Anna Fomenko).

Participants worked together in groups, did homework, learned a lot of interesting things, and vividly discussed current challenges in the internationalization of science.
