The UEPA held the International Pedagogical School "Education 4.0 and Teaching Excellence"

 

The fourth International School of Pedagogical Skill "Education 4.0 and Teachong Excellence" was held on the basis of the Ukrainian Engineering and Pedagogical Academy on the initiative of the Public Union "Association for the Development of Professional and Continuing Education" from December 15 to 22. The special theme of this year's school is "Artificial intelligence in professional and higher education". The school is implemented within the framework of the project "Strengthening the Capacity of Pedagogical Higher Education Institutions in Ukraine", which is financially supported by the Czech Development Agency and the Erasmus+ project CRED4TEACH "MOOC-based Micro-Credentials for Teacher Professional Development".

During the week, School participants attended master classes by foreign and Ukrainian speakers. Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Work, Professor of the Department of Pedagogy, Methodology and Education Management of the Ukrainian Engineering and Pedagogical Academy Maryna Vasylieva presented the topic "Modern trends and innovations in pedagogical education". The head of the permanent working group on internationalization and project activities, senior lecturer of the department of pedagogy, methodology and management of education of the UEPA, Roman Nesterenko, presented the topic "Internationalization of pedagogical education: challenges and opportunities". Speaker from Germany Juergen Koeberlein-Kerler, Professor, Ph.D, CEO, IBK Ingenieurbuero Koeberlein GmbH & Co.KG, Wuerzburg presented the topic "Artificial Intelligence as a Revolution in Innovation". Polytechnic Institute of Portalegre and Centre for Comparative Studies of the University of Lisbon, Portugal held a master class on "Artificial Intelligence and Pedagogical Innovation: how ChatGPT is impacting our practices." Tetyana Bondarenko, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor of the Department of Information Computer Technologies and Mathematics of the Ukrainian Engineering and Pedagogical Academy presented the topic "MOOC as an effective tool for digitalization of education during the war" and presented a new tool for effective educational interaction with students. The teachers of the Ukrainian Engineering and Pedagogical Academy also participated in the special topic "Artificial Intelligence in professional and higher education". Oleksandr Kupriianov, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, Vice-rector for scientific work of UEPA, held a master class on the topic "Artificial intelligence in education: how not to lose everything at once?" and Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Food Technologies, Light Industry and Design of the Ukrainian Engineering and Pedagogical Academy Denys Borysenko presented the topic "Involvement of artificial intelligence in education: virtual aspect". The last day of the School was devoted to the topic "AI services for processing academic texts: from structure development to (un)disclosure of AI", which was discussed by Doctor of Science in Public Administration, Professor, Uniwersytet Pomorski w Słupsku Volodymyr Streltsov.

In total, the registered participants of the School were about 250 teachers, masters, scientists, managers, and from 90 to 130 online students took part in the online master classes.

During the work of the School, all participants had the opportunity to get acquainted with new platforms, services and learn new technologies of artificial intelligence in education. It was also suggested to complete individual tasks and send them to the School's organizing committee.

By results of the work, all participants will receive appropriate certificates and invaluable experience of working with the new direction of education and science, as well as join new trends in education of foreign institutions of higher education.
