UЕPA starts the implementation of the international project "Road map of career development of women leaders in higher education in Ukraine"

From January 2024, the Ukrainian Engineering Pedagogics Academy, as an associate partner, starts the implementation of the international project "A Career Roadmap for Women's Leadership in Higher Education in Ukraine".

The project will be implemented within the framework of the program of projects in the field of gender equality of the Going Global Partnerships initiative from the British Council.

The project will last one year and will be implemented in partnership with the University of Bеdfordshire (Luton, Great Britain), S. Kuznets KhNUE and "Innovation Generation" NGO (Kharkiv).

The program is designed to help Higher Education Institutions and non-profit scientific organizations in Great Britain and Ukraine initiate systemic changes to overcome the problem of insufficient representation of women in leadership roles in higher education.

At UEPA the project will be implemented by representatives of the Department of Pedagogy, Methodology and Management of Education: Professor, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Work Maryna Vasylieva and senior lecturer, head of the permanent working group on internationalization and project activities of the Academy Roman Nesterenko.

This project will contribute to understanding the barriers and challenges faced by women leaders in higher education institutions in Ukraine and Great Britain, as well as building the potential of higher education institutions in Ukraine and expanding opportunities for women scientists and women leaders in higher education.

During the project, a career road map "Women leaders in higher education" will be developed, taking into account gender aspects, the cultural, social and political context of Ukraine and subject areas of researches.
