Ukrainian Engineering Pedagogics Academy strengthens cooperation with Istanbul University

 

The delegation of the Ukrainian Engineering Pedagogics Academy, consisting of the Vice-Rector for Scientific Work, Professor Oleksandr Kupriyanov, Professor of the Department of Information Computer Technologies and Mathematics Tetiana Bondarenko and Associate Professor of the Department of Food Technologies, Light Industry and Design Denys Borysenko paid an official visit to Istanbul University (Turkey). During the visit, a meeting was organized with the Vice-Rector of the university, professor Gülsüm Ak, and the head of the office of international academic exchanges, professor Ayse Furat, on issues of cooperation in direction of international exchanges, professional education and science.

UEPA has had close scientific and educational cooperation with Istanbul University for a long time. This cooperation was initiated by Professor Tetiana Bondarenko as part of a scientific work on the application of information technologies in the educational process of vocational education institutions, which was carried out together with the head of the Department of Informatics, the director of the Center for Computer Research and Applications of Istanbul University, Professor Sevinc Gulsecen, starting since 2019.

The result was joint scientific works in publications of the Scopus database, speeches at scientific conferences and forums, participation in program committees of international specialized publications.

The Ukrainian Engineering Pedagogics Academy and Istanbul University agreed about further dissemination of cooperation in the direction of:

- teachers` and students’ mobility;

- joint holding of scientific conferences and researches on vocational education.

Istanbul University is one of the ten oldest universities in Europe. Its history began in 1453, it has been and remains the largest and most prestigious university in Turkey. At the same time, more than 100,000 students are getting higher education within its walls, more than 5,000 professors are teaching, the university offers diploma programs in 767 specialties.
