The anthology of the PAGOSTE project “Partnership-based Governance and Standardization of Vocational Teacher Education in Ukraine” was published

Based on the results of the international ERASMUS+ PAGOSTE project “New mechanisms of partnership-based governance and standardization of vocational teacher education in Ukraine”, which lasted from 2020 to 2024, the anthology of the project “Partnership-based Governance and Standardization of Vocational Teacher Education in Ukraine” was prepared and published.

This publication addresses current issues in vocational teacher education (VTE), with a particular focus on institutional, organizational, and governance aspects. Firstly, it summarizes the results of the four-year Erasmus+ capacity building project “New Mechanisms for Partnership Governance and Standardization of Vocational Teacher Education in Ukraine” (PAGOSTE), funded by the European Education and Culture Executive Agency. The project focused on the governance of the VET system in Ukraine. Secondly, it goes beyond the narrow context of the project and explores the challenges as well as best practices of VET systems in other European countries and beyond.

Materials from England, New Zealand, Australia, Italy, Germany, Austria, and Switzerland complement the Ukrainian context and give readers a more complete picture of VET systems.

The team of the Ukrainian Engineering Pedagogics Academy together with the Scientific and Methodological Center for Vocational Education in Kharkiv region  presented two sections of the anthology, namely:

- “Establishing Excellence in Vocational Education Teacher Training at Ukrainian Engineering Pedagogics Academy (UEPA)”, by Olena Kovalenko, Nataliia Briukhanova, Liudmyla Shtefan, Tatiana Bondarenko, Hanna Korniush & Nataliia Korolova;

- “Civil Society and Policy Dialogue in Vocational Education and Training”, by Oleksandr Kupriyanov, Tetiana Bondarenko, Halyna Yelnykova, Denys Kovalenko, Roman Nesterenko & Tetiana Ruslanova.

We congratulate our colleagues and wish them further success.
