The third transnational meeting of CRED4TEACH project partners

 

As part of the work packages for managing and disseminating results of the Erasmus + project “MOOC-based microcredentials for teacher professional development”, the Third Transnational Project Meeting of partners from Germany, Ukraine, Portugal, Estonia, Turkey, Montenegro and Albania was held in Albania from 9 to 11 October. Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, Deputy Director Oleksandr Kupriianov, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor, Acting Head of the Department of Information Computer Technologies and Mathematics Olesia Nechuіviter and Deputy Head of the International Relations Department of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University Roman Nesterenko participated in the events.

At the Ismail Qemali University of Vlore, project participants from Ukraine, Albania, and Montenegro presented projects of national programmes for awarding microcredentials. Olesia Nechuiviter reported on the introduction of a massive open online course with micro-qualifications at the ERI UEPA of the Kharkiv National University. Partner universities, experts in the field of development and implementation of a new innovative method of reforming teacher professional development programmes joined the discussion of quality assurance and institutional accreditation of massive open online courses with microcredentials.

The international conference “Building Competencies: Micro-Credits for Teacher Growth and Excellence CRED4TEACH”, which took place on 10 October, brought together about 200 participating teachers. The main focus of the conference was on modern alternatives for improving the teacher training and qualification system. Recognised experts and practitioners at the forefront of teacher education and micro-certification made 15 presentations in 5 panels, including a presentation by Oleksandr Kupriianov on “Global Micro-credentials trends and best practices in education”.

As part of the cultural programme, the participants visited the old town and Zvernec Island, where the St. Mary`s Monastery, also known as the Monastery of Dormition of Theotokos Mary, is located.
