Visit of the UEPA delegation to the Aurel Vlaicu University within the Erasmus+ international mobility (Arad, Romania)

 

From May 27 to 31, the delegation of the Ukrainian Engineering Pedagogics Academy consisting of Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Work, Professor of the Department of Pedagogy, Methodology and Management of Education Maryna Vasylieva, Professor of the Department of Information Computer Technologies and Mathematics Tetiana Bondarenko, Head of the Permanent Working Group on Internationalization and Project Activities of UEPA, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Pedagogy, Methodology and Management of Education Roman Nesterenko, and Associate Professor of the Department of Economics and Management Yuliia Dudnieva took part in the teaching mobility program.

As part of the program, UEPA representatives attended seminars, workshops and lectures dedicated to establishing international cooperation between universities. Thus, on the first day Rector Teodor Florin Cilan, Conf.univ.dr. and Institutional Erasmus Coordinator Cerlinde Knap delivered a welcoming speech and an introductory program. On the first day, the teachers also took part in the Romanian Language Crash Course, where they got to know Romanian culture and the peculiarities of language communication. Yuliia Dudnieva and Roman Nesterenko presented the academy, spoke about international projects, available specialties, and proposals for cooperation. On the second and third days, workshops were planned on “How society molds young minds”, “Sports and thinking”, “Youth building trust and networks in our community”, and “Entrepreneurship and education, a path to a successful career”, where teachers joined the activities conducted by the university as part of international projects. Teaching activities were also held as part of the international mobility program. Thus, Professors Maryna Vasylieva and Tetiana Bondarenko gave lectures in English for students of the Faculty of Educational Sciences, Psychology and Social Work on the topics “SOLE methodology in social and educational activities” and “Gamification as an effective tool of engaging students in the educational process”.

The Ukrainian Engineering Pedagogics Academy has a long-standing cooperation with the Faculty of Educational Sciences, Psychology and Social Work of the Aurel Vlaicu University of Arad. Tetiana Bondarenko, Maryna Vasylieva and Roman Nesterenko, together with the Deputy Dean, Professor Gabriela Kelemen, have joint publications in the journal Education Plus (Romania), where UEPA representatives were members of the editorial board, and have joint articles in Scopus publications, and researchers jointly participate in international scientific conferences, forums, and seminars.

In addition to official meetings, the following cultural events were organized for our teachers:

- a tour of the Aurel Vlaicu University and the city of Arad;

- a tour of the outskirts of Arad and the local Romanian ethnic complex.

The visit was part of the Erasmus+ project KA107 international mobility of teaching staff from Aurel Vlaicu University of Arad.
